Always fresh, always unmistakably Joey.
The logo design for Joey Thought was created with intentional simplicity. It serves as a flexible foundation for limitless creative exploration. This minimal approach allows for experimentation with custom lettering, symbolic variations, and dynamic applications. From VIP event tags and t-shirts to Spotify animations, the design invites reinterpretation across any medium. It’s a visual identity built to evolve, not to confine.
A design element that can be used for just about anything —
Event details, track titles, a definition of “thought” itself. It could feel like a record spinning, a tape deck, the sun, the start of a new day, or the last thought before crashing at night. Maybe it’s all of that at once. Why not?
“JT” became the face of Joey Thought...literally.
By transforming the initials into facial features like a nose and ears (or even headphones as a musical twist), the design took on its first character-driven form. It’s a clever and adaptable approach that sets the tone for a cohesive identity ready to grow alongside the artist.
Reimagining an FM/AM radio as the “Contemplation Station.”
The visual system was designed to grow with Joey while staying fresh and adaptable. “Thought” is a universal concept, open to endless interpretations. That openness makes experimentation part of the fun. Reimagining an old radio dial as the “Contemplation Station” sparks curiosity while keeping the visuals clean and distinctive. The result blends nostalgia with modern wit. Built around the idea of thought itself, the brand embraces possibility, flexibility, and creative exploration.
Badge design from concept to completion.
What began as a loose idea evolved through several iterations before reaching its final form. From the start, “Joey Thought” needed to take center stage, with clever details revealed only upon a closer look. That is the kind of subtle storytelling Joey values most.
One of the main challenges came as the layout grew more refined: the design began to resemble a scale, especially when the radio elements were added. Breaking up those shapes solved the issue instantly, and everything else clicked into place.
